Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 04:00 on 18/03/12 to 03:59 on 19/03/12 between Barking and Upminster.
Network Rail are undertaking route maintenance work between Barking and Upminster, Due to engineering work between Barking and Upminster all trains will operate towards Southend via Rainham and Tilbury with a shuttle service operating Grays-Upminster-Pitsea and return. Passengers for Chafford Hundred, Ockendon, Upminster, West Horndon, Laindon and Basildon should use this shuttle service and change at Grays for services to Barking and Fenchurch Street or Pitsea for services to Southend and Shoeburyness. The Barking to Grays via Rainham service does not run and is replaced by stops in the Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness via Grays service. Passengers for Basildon may also travel via Pitsea and double back to Basildon if this results in a shorter journey time. Some early morning and late evening services may be subject to variation from the general pattern. Network Rail are undertaking track renewals between Pitsea and Southend Central, All weekend buses replace trains between Pitsea and Southend Central. All services from Fenchurch Street will terminate at Pitsea with replacement buses operating between Pitsea and Southend Central where a train service will resume between Southend Central and Shoeburyness. Bus services between Pitsea and Southend will operate every 30 minutes calling at all stations, additionally between 0900 and 1900 fast buses will operate non-stop between the two points.
