The passenger lift at Warwick Parkway station on platform 2 is not working. Engineers are working to resolve the problem but, in the meantime, passengers requiring assistance please travel to Leamington Spa station where a taxi will be provided to take you to your intended station. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

Departures

Load a route using the "Your Journey" selection boxes above.

Specify a "From" station to see real time departure information for that station.

Additionally specify a "To" station to see real time departure information for only the services that go on to call at your "To" station.

Arrivals

Load a route using the "Your Journey" selection boxes above.

Specify a "To" station to see real time arrival information for that station.

Additionally specify a "From" station to see real time arrival information for only the services that call at that station prior to your "To" station.

Help

JourneyCheck is used for checking for problems along your route as well as providing timetables.

Route Filter

You can view incidents and timetable information for a particular route by selecting a from and to station and pressing Go. Direct routes from A to B are only supported.

Switch Stations

The switch stations button swaps the from and to locations and loads the route view filtered on this basis. This is the doubled ended arrow to the right of the location drop downs.

Saved Routes

You can save a number of routes by pressing the Save button after you have selected from and to stations. When you come back to JourneyCheck at a later stage you can easily check the situation of a saved route by selecting it from the drop-down and pressing the small Go button. Saved routes are saved as cookies on your browser so if you use a different browser you won't be able to access your saved routes.

Delete a Saved Route

Select a route from the drop-down and press the Delete button.

Set a Route as Default

Users may select one of their saved route(s), and make it their default route by clicking on the Set As Default button. A user with a default route will be automatically directed to the saved route view, rather than the summary view when accessing the site. The User may then access the summary view if they wish via the link in the top right corner of the route page.

Network Overview

This shows all the incidents on the network.

Alert Me

This will bring you to the alerting section of JourneyCheck. If you have selected a route it will add a new alert with the from and to stations filled in.

Summary

This shows a summary of all the incidents on the network. Use the plus and minus buttons to expand and collapse incidents and sections. Line updates refer to updates on the track and service updates refer to updates on particular trains.

Registration, Updating and Removal of Details

Step one of the registration process requires you to enter an email address and password - you will use these to log into your account.If you have registered with JourneyCheck with another train operator you still need to register again.

Email Address

You will need to supply a valid email address as it needs to be verified. Also, email alerts are sent to this email address.

Mobile Number

If you want to receive text alerts you will need to enter a mobile number.

Terms and Conditions

To register you will need to tick the box agreeing to the "Terms and Conditions". To read the details of these "Terms and Conditions", click on the words "Terms and Conditions". A separate small window will open listing these.

Update

You can change your details at any time by logging in and then changing the appropriate items. When you have done this, clicking on "Update" will then update the details.

Remove Me

If you no longer wish to receive any alerts and wish your details to be removed from the system, clicking on "Remove Me" will remove your details from the Alert System. Note that if you intend to use the service in the future but do not currently wish to receive any alerts, you can leave your details in the system and simply ensure that there are no active alerts by suitably changing the Alert details in the "My Alerts" section.When you next wish to be alerted either about services on a specific day or to receive regular alerts (or both), you will then not need to re-register.

Creation of Alerts

You can create two different types of alert. If you wish to set up an alert for trains that you will regularly use each on different days each week, click on the plus sign adjacent to the wording, 'Add Alerts'. If you wish to set up an alert for a journey on a single specific day click on plus sign adjacent to the wording, 'Add Single Journey Alert'.

Alert Entry Boxes

Two Alert Entry Boxes will open to enable you to define the journeys for which to be alerted.

Disable All Alerts

If you have set up regular alerts, you can disable all your alerts for a defined period (such as when you are on holiday) or indefinitely.Enter the period you wish to the alerts to be suspended by using the drop down list and then click on 'Save'. If you select a defined period (i.e. not 'indefinitely') the alerts will automatically be re-enabled after that period. If you select 'indefinitely' you will need0 to 'reinstate' your alerts yourself when you wish to do so by clicking on 'Re-enable all alerts' which will be displayed after you have indefinitely disabled the alerts.

Alert me at

This is the time you wish to be alerted about any problems. It must be either the same, or earlier than the time you specify in the '' section. The time is in the 24 hour clock system (e.g. 4.30 in the afternoon is entered as 16:30).

Alert me by

Using the dropdown selection, you must specify whether you wish the first alert message to be delivered by e-mail or SMS.

If you specify an e-mail alert, at the time you specified in the At box, you will receive an alert that will contain all the relevant incidents that have been reported until that time which are likely to cause disruption to your train services; or a message indicating that there are no reported problems on your route.

If you choose an SMS alert, then at the time you specified in the At box, you will receive an alert that will contain all the relevant incidents that have been reported until that time which are likely to cause disruption to your train services. If there are no such reported problems then no SMS message will be sent.

It is possible to receive updates after your initial alert, should new information become available, or information previously delivered changes. Use the drop down provided to select whether you would like to receive these updates, and if so, whether you would like to receive them by email or SMS.

Note:

the delivery method need not be the same as that of the initial alert;
there is a limit to the total number of updates you will be sent via SMS, per alert, on any one day;
updates may indicate both an improving or worsening of the previously stated situation;
you will be sent updates between the time of your initial alert up until the end of your time selection;
if there are no changes reported, no updates will be sent;
"Now OK" messages indicate that a previously reported problem is no longer relevant to the particular train service.

At this point you can choose whether you wish to be alerted regularly (every week on certain days) about your train services or whether you wish to be alerted about the train services on one particular day only. You can also set up a combination of both types (subject to a maximum total number of four SMS alerts being set up).

On These Days Repeating (For Regular Weekly Alerts)

Tick the boxes relevant to the days you wish to receive alerts.

Indicate the times between which you are interested in catching your train. The times are in the 24 hour clock system (e.g. 4.30 in the afternoon is entered as 16:30).

You will only receive alerts for trains that are scheduled to leave your origin station between these times.

Indicates the station at which you start your journey on a train and the station at which you alight from that train. You can only select through train journeys (i.e. no changes of train en route).

If you wish to be alerted about more than one train service route (because for instance you change trains), you may register other train services between other pairs of stations, provided that the services are operated by that same Train Company.

Single Journey Alerts

One Alert Entry Box will open to enable you to define the journey for which to be alerted.

Click on the calendar icon to the right and select the date on which you wish to be alerted.

Note that for this type of alert you can set up alerts for more than one day but you will have to set up each alert individually to do so, (subject, as above, to a maximum total number of four SMS alerts being set up).

If you had set up an alert for a journey on a day which has now passed, the details will be retained and you can update those for future date by amending the date and any other required changes.

Start alerting me … in advance

This is the interval of time before the earlier time you entered in the '' section that you wish to be alerted about any problems. It must be entered using the drop down list and can be from 30 minutes up to two hours.

Using the dropdown selection, you must specify whether you wish the first alert message to be delivered by e-mail or SMS.

If you specify an e-mail alert, at the time interval you specified in the Start alerting me box, you will receive an alert that will contain all the relevant incidents that have been reported until that time which are likely to cause disruption to your train services; or a message indicating that there are no reported problems on your route.

If you choose an SMS alert, then at the time interval you specified in the Start alerting me box, you will receive an alert that will contain all the relevant incidents that have been reported until that time which are likely to cause disruption to your train services. If there are no such reported problems then no SMS message will be sent.

Changing Alerts

If you have changed any alert details, you will need to click on "Update" at the bottom right of the page in order to implement the changes you have made.

Delete

This enables you to permanently delete any adjacent alert for which you have previously registered.

Add Further Alerts

If you wish to add further alerts and you have filled in all the visible boxes, you can choose to open another Alert Entry Box. The additional alert can be of either type. If you wish to set up an alert for trains that you will regularly use on different days each week, click on the plus sign adjacent to the wording, 'Add Alerts'. If you wish to set up an alert for a journey on a single specific day click on plus sign adjacent to the wording, 'Add Single Journey Alert'.

(Note that the total number of SMS alerts for which you can register is limited to four).

Multi-leg Journeys

Each alert is for a single journey leg but you can register for separate alerts for the different legs of your journey (subject to the maximum number of alerts permitted), if provided by Chiltern Railways. If your onward journey uses the services of another Train operator you will need to register with them for that part of your journey (if they provide this service).
