Significant Disruptions
The passenger lifts at Bicester North will be out of order from January 15th until April 3rd. This is due to ongoing engineering works. Any passengers requiring assistance either from Bicester North or travelling to Bicester North, please advise your local station staff and alternative arrangements will be made. Chiltern Railways would like to apologise for the delay caused by this.
The footbridges at these stations are old and in need of some sympathetic refurbishment to ensure they remain serviceable for the future. Apart from repairs, this work will include some lighting improvements, the fitting of new non-slip steps and a repaint.
Whilst the work is in progress, if you are using the northbound platform, please use the slope to the road when entering and exiting the station. At Stoke Mandeville, the footbridge will close during the first week in February until completion of the work on 2nd April. At Great Missenden, the footbridge will be closed from 22nd January until the end of March.

To enable a crane to work in connection with footbridge replacement, the car park will be closed overnight after the last train on each Saturday evening in February. It will reopen before the first train on the Sunday morning. The only exception will be that on Saturday, 25th February, it will close at 2100 hours. We apologise if this causes you any inconvenience.

Engineers are working to resolve the problem but, in the meantime, passengers requiring assistance please travel to Aylesbury Vale Parkway station where a taxi will be provided to take you to your intended station.
