Planned engineering work will take place between Manchester Victoria and Smithy Bridge from 00:05, Monday 17 March 2025 to 05:40, Friday 21 March 2025.
Some services will be replaced by buses throughout. Monday 17th to Thursday 20th March
The 2320 Blackburn to Manchester Victoria service will be bus replaced throughout.

Normal journey times are extended by approximately 45 minutes. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Between Leeds and Mirfield

Planned engineering work will take place between Leeds and Mirfield from 04:30, Monday 17 March 2025 to 05:10, Friday 21 March 2025.
All services will be revised. Leeds Manchester Victoria/Wigan Wallgate via Dewsbury: Trains will be diverted to run via Bradford Interchange and Halifax, and will not call at stations via Dewsbury.
Wigan Wallgate/Manchester Victoria Leeds: Trains will be diverted to run via Halifax and Bradford Interchange, and will not call at stations via Dewsbury.
Buses will be provided between Leeds and Halifax, calling at stations via Dewsbury.

Between Edge Hill and Liverpool Lime Street, Between Manchester Victoria and Patricroft

Planned engineering work will take place between Edge Hill and Liverpool Lime Street, and between Manchester Victoria and Patricroft from 23:30, Monday 17 March 2025 to 05:30, Saturday 22 March 2025.
Some services will be revised. Monday 17th to Thursday 20th March
The 22:43 Wilmslow to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. A bus will be provided from Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street.
The 23:00 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport service will start from Manchester Oxford Road. A bus will be provided from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport.
The 23:15 Liverpool Lime Street to Preston service will be bus replaced throughout.
The 23:30 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria service will be bus replaced throughout.
Tuesday 18th to Friday 21st March
The 05:30 Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime Street service will start from Wigan North Western, and will run as normally advertised from Newton-le-Willows. Customers should use the next available service.
The 05:35 Wigan North Western to Liverpool Lime Street service will not run. Customers should use the next available service.
