Due to a landslip between Pontefract Monkhill and Knottingley all lines are blocked.
How does it affect your service:
Train services running through these stations have been cancelled. Disruption is expected until the end of the day on 06/05/24.
Our advice to our customers:
Services between Pontefract Monkhill and Knottingley are currently being disrupted due to a landslip in the Pontefract area.
Network Rail engineers are making repairs which is expected to last until at least Monday 6th May.
Effect on service:
Leeds - Knottingley via Castleford - in both directions services can only operate between Leeds and Castleford.
Leeds to Knottingley via Wakefield - in both directions services can only operate between Leeds and Pontefract Monkhill.
Knottingley will not have a train service.
Alternative Travel Suggestions:
Passengers at Leeds travelling to Wakefield can use alternative Northern services.
Rail Replacement:
To assist customers with their journeys, road transport is operating between Knottingley and Castleford calling at Pontefract Monkhill and Glasshoughton. Please see nationalrail.co.uk for timetables.
Journey times will be extended by up to 45 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points & be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (excluding service dogs) are not permitted on replacement transport.
