4 Line Updates
Due to urgent repairs to the track between Ashfield and Glasgow Queen Street disruption is expected until 23:59 08/07.
Impact:
Train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Anniesland via Maryhill will be terminated at and started back from Ashfield.
Customer Advice:
An hourly train shuttle between Anniesland and Ashfield as follows -
21 minutes past the hour from Anniesland to Ashfield.
01 minutes past the hour from Ashfield to Anniesland.
These trains will call at Possilpark, Gilshochil, Summerston, Maryhill and Kelvindale in both directions.
We have a limited bus service in place as detailed below
From Thursday 14th June we will have a limited bus service in place as follows -
Monday to Saturday -
From Queen Street to Ashfield: 0631 and then 31 minutes past the hour from 0731 until 2331. (0015 from Ashfield to Queen Street on Friday night only)
From Ashfield to Queen St : 0649, 0744, 0830, 0846, 0903, 09:44 and then 44 minutes past the hour from 1044 until 2244.
From Anniesland to Queen Street : 0706 & 0906
From Queen Street to Anniesland : 1656 & 1726.
Sunday
From Queen Street to Ashfield : 0909,1003 and then 2 minutes past the hour from 1102 until 1802
From Ashfield to Queen Street : 1020,1115 and then 14 minutes past the hour from 1214 until 1914
Customer can also use trains between Queen Street Low Level and Anniesland which are not affected by this disruption.
Trains depart Queen Street Low Level at 12, 25, 42, and 55 minutes past the hour to Anniesland.
Trains depart Anniesland for Queen Street Low Level at 5, 11, 35 and 40 minutes past the hour.
Additional Information:
A track defect has been identified by our engineers on a junction to the north of Glasgow Queen Street which means trains cannot cross over onto the Anniesland branch line from Wednesday 13th June until Sunday 8th July.
The unique design of the affected junction means that a new piece of track will have to be custom designed, built and installed to fix the fault.
Until the new track is laid, we will be operating an hourly service from Ashfield to Anniesland, calling at Possilpark & Parkhouse, Gilshochill, Summerston, Maryhill, Kelvindale and terminating at Anniesland to connect to services into Glasgow city centre.
Customers travelling out of Glasgow city centre can connect into services to Ashfield at Anniesland.
West Highland line services will be diverted into Glasgow Queen Street via an alternative route with journey times extended by around 30 minutes.
Services from Glasgow Queen Street for the West Highlands will run as planned and journey times will not be extended.
