Following a fire near the line in the St Brides area between Cardiff Central and Newport a reduced train service is running between Cardiff Central and Newport, operated by Transport for Wales and GWR.
Replacement road transport will supplement the train service and will run every 15 minutes departing Cardiff Central (Penarth Road Car Park) from 0430 and Newport (Queensway) starting 0510.

To help with your journey Cardiff Bus and Newport Bus services 30 and X30 will accept valid rail tickets between Newport and Cardiff. Timetable information may be found at www.traveline.cymru. Please note bus stops may be a short distance from the railway station.

Services between Cardiff Central and Ebbw Vale will not run. Please use alternative services between Cardiff Central and Newport for rail services between Newport and Ebbw Vale Town.
Services between Holyhead and Cardiff Central will not run between Shrewsbury and Cardiff Central. Please use alternative services between Shrewsbury and Cardiff Central.
Services between Cardiff Central and Manchester Piccadilly will not run between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly. A separate service will serve stations between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly.

To help you complete your journey, customers whose journeys are affected may also use CrossCountry and GWR services. Between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly Avanti West Coast and Northern services may be used.
