Due to a fault with the signalling system between Cheshunt and Broxbourne trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.
Impact:
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until further notice.

Overview
Were currently experiencing disruption to West Anglia train services between Cheshunt and Broxbourne due to speed restrictions caused by a signalling system fault in the area. These restrictions may result in significant delays or alterations to services. Were working closely with Network Rail to restore full signalling functionality as quickly and safely as possible. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Cambridge North <-> London Liverpool Street
Hertford East <-> London Liverpool Street
Bishops Stortford <-> Stratford
Meridian Water <-> Stratford
Service Impact
Train services via Broxbourne are currently disrupted and may be subject to delays or alterations until were able to restore the full advertised timetable.
Alternative Travel Options
We have arranged for your Greater Anglia ticket to be accepted on the following alternative options:
Thameslink and Great Northern services between London terminals and Cambridge/ Hertford North.
London Underground services via any reasonable routes.

An update will follow within the next 1 hour.
Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.
Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.

Engineering Work: Between London Liverpool Street and Cheshunt

Planned track improvements will take place between London Liverpool Street and Cheshunt from 23:20, Monday 04 August 2025 to 05:00, Thursday 07 August 2025.

In connection with track maintenance work taking place between Cambridge Heath and Cheshunt (via Tottenham Hale), West Anglia and Stansted Express services will be diverted between London Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, serving Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale. Journey times will be extended several minutes as a result.
This affects services between 23:20 on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday nights and 05:00 on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday mornings.

Some trains will be taking another route to usual, or are retimed. Please allow ample time for your journey.

In connection with maintenance work taking place between Stansted Mountfitchet and Cambridge, the 23.28 London Liverpool Street to Cambridge train service will be replaced by a bus service between Bishops Stortford and Cambridge on Monday Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights.
