Some lines will be blocked.
Additional Information:The Severn Tunnel will be closed from 0045 on Saturday 27 July until 0400 on Monday 29 July.
All day on Saturday 27 July, trains between London Paddington and South Wales will be diverted between Swindon and Newport to call additionally at Gloucester $, and will not call at Bristol Parkway. Overall journey times will be extended.
Trains will depart EARLIER from London Paddington, Reading and Swindon, but will run largely as normal from Newport onwards.
Trains will generally depart as normal from stations in south Wales, and will arrive later at Swindon, Reading and London Paddington.
$ - At Gloucester, most trains towards South Wales will stop to pick up passengers only and most trains towards London Paddington will stop to set down passengers only. (Trains between London Paddington / Swindon and Gloucester / Cheltenham Spa will run largely as normal, with some minor retimings).
A limited service of direct trains between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway will continue to run as follows:
From London Paddington: 0814, 1148, 1348, 1548, 1748, 2013 and 2202
From Bristol Parkway: 0721, 0821, 1024, 1520 and 1724
Otherwise passengers travelling between London Paddington/Reading/Didcot Parkway/Swindon and Bristol Parkway should travel on alternative scheduled rail services changing at Bristol Temple Meads
Passengers travelling between Bristol Parkway and stations in south Wales should use scheduled rail services between Bristol Parkway and Gloucester/Cheltenham Spa, then scheduled rail services between Cheltenham Spa/Gloucester and Newport (via Chepstow). Some of these services will be operated by Crosscountry or by Transport for Wales. Overall journey times will be extended.
Some trains between Swindon, Reading and London Paddington will be slightly retimed.
Some other trains will not run for their whole journey as follows:
* 0644 Swansea to London Paddington will terminate at Cardiff Central
* 1442 Cardiff Central to London Paddington will start from Bristol Parkway at 1520
* 2022 Swansea to Bristol Parkway will terminate at Cardiff Central
These 1213 & 1617 London Paddington to Cardiff Central will not run at all
