On Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 May:

* The 2306 Bristol Temple Meads to Westbury will terminate at Bath Spa at 2323. A replacement bus will run as follows:
Bath Spa 2330 - Freshford (Old Bakery) 2348 - Westwood Village (for Avoncliff) 2355 - Bradford-on-Avon 0011 - Trowbridge 0025 - Westbury 0040

On Monday 6 to Thursday 9 May:

* The 2030 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads will terminate at Bristol Temple Meads at 2121. Passengers travelling beyond Bristol Temple Meads should travel on the 2148 departure to Portsmouth & Southsea, which will call additionally at Dilton Marsh (on request) at 2235

* The 2345 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome will not run. Replacement buses will run as follows:

The 0018 Henley-on-Thames to Reading will terminate at Twyford at 0030. An alternative rail connection will run from Twyford as follows:
On Tuesday at 0046 to Reading arriving at 0053.
On Wednesday to Friday at 0040 to Reading arriving at 0050.

Planned engineering work will take place at Bristol Temple Meads on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 06:15, Tuesday 07 May 2024 to 12:15, Friday 10 May 2024.

Additional Information

Due to engineering work taking place elsewhere on the GWR network, the following trains running through Bristol Temple Meads will be altered:
* 0613 Bristol Parkway to Westbury will run as two separate trains: 0613 Bristol Parkway to Bristol Temple Meads and 0640 Bristol Temple Meads to Westbury
* 0930 Weymouth to Gloucester will run as two separate trains: 0930 Weymouth to Bristol Temple Meads and 1207 Bristol Temple Meads to Gloucester

Passengers should change trains at Bristol Temple Meads.

Customer Advice

An extremely limited service is in operation across the GWR network today, due to strike action by members of the ASLEF union. Services will only run on the following routes:
- Reading - Oxford
- Reading - Basingstoke
- Reading - Newbury
- Reading - Redhill (peak times only)
- Westbury - Swindon (peak times only)
- Cardiff Central - Bristol Temple Meads
- Exeter St Davids - Barnstaple
- Exeter St Davids - Exmouth (limited stops)
- Plymouth - Gunnislake
- Penzance - St Ives (0930-1230 and 1530-1900)
This means that many stations across the GWR network will not be served, and no long distance services will operate. This includes no GWR services operating between London Paddington and Reading. Services that are running will start later and finish earlier than usual, and are likely to be busy. If you intend to travel where trains are operating, please check both your outward and return journeys before setting out. Online journey planners have been updated to reflect the services we intend to operate, but further revisions to services on the day are possible.

To assist passengers who are able to travel at a later date, tickets dated from Tuesday 7th May to Thursday 9th May will be valid for travel from the day before the date shown on your ticket until Monday 13th May.

In addition, Industrial Action short of a strike by members of the ASLEF union will continue on Thursday 9th May until Saturday 11th May. This is likely to result in some short notice cancellations or alterations to services across the GWR network. When doing so, please check the entirety of your journey, given that other operators' services may also be affected by this Industrial Action.
