Due to trespassers on the railway between Reading and London Paddington all lines are closed.
What has happened?

Trespassers have been reported on the railway in the Southall area. Trespassing is when a person is reported to be on or next to the railway track, the land next to the track, or any area near the railway that isnt open to the public. Until it is confirmed that the trespassers are away from the railway we are unable to run trains through the area.

What are we doing about it?

We are working with Network Rail to be able to return to running our normal timetable as soon as possible.

Option 1: If there are other rail companies or local public transport operators who may be able to help you make your journey, we will provide details here.

Option 2: Replacement transport provided by us such as a buses, coaches or taxis, have not been requested at this time. We will continue to monitor the need for this as the situation develops and provide updates here.

Station Update
The short-stay car park at Reading station is currently closed due to damage within the car park. A full safety inspection and essential repairs are required before it can be safely reopened. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your patience while we complete this work. Alternative parking and dropoff facilities can be found on the opposite side of the station in Bagnall Way.
