Between Preston and Blackpool North

Planned engineering work will take place between Preston and Blackpool North on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 01:05, Monday 08 June 2026 to 04:50, Friday 12 June 2026.
All lines will be blocked.
All services will be revised.
MONDAY to FRIDAY
The 0529 Blackpool South to Preston service will start from Blackpool North. A bus will be provided from Blackpool South to Preston, departing Blackpool South at 0455.
MONDAY to THURSDAY
The 2346 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will terminate at Preston. A bus will be provided from Preston to Blackpool North.
Customer Advice:
Normal journey times are extended by approximately 60 minutes. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Throughout 2026, improvement works as part of the Access for All Scheme will be taking place at Bryn. Whilst work takes place, access to the platforms will change.
Access to platform two will be via temporary steps, and from late June 2026, steps will also replace the ramp to access platform 1.
