Improvement Work

Between Liverpool Lime Street and Hunts Cross/Padgate

Planned engineering work will take place between Liverpool Lime Street and Hunts Cross/Padgate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 23:35, Monday 04 August 2025 to 05:15, Friday 08 August 2025.
Some lines will be blocked.
Some services will be diverted and revised.
The 22:47 (not Friday) Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will not call at West Allerton, Mossley Hill and Edge Hill. A bus will be provided from Liverpool South Parkway to Liverpool Lime Street to serve these stations.
The 23:36 (not Friday) Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly service will be bus replaced throughout.
The 23:38 (not Friday) Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street service will be bus replaced throughout.

Ticket Easements - Tuesday 05 August Storm Floris

Changes to services to/from Stockport - Saturday 2nd August until Friday 22nd August

Network Rail are rebuilding the Greek Street roundabout bridge at Stockport and all railway lines through Stockport station will be closed from Saturday 2nd until Friday 22nd August 2025.

The following routes will be disrupted...

Buxton - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Hazel Grove. Trains continue to operate between Hazel Grove and Buxton.
Stoke-on-Trent - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Alderley Edge via Handforth - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport to Wilmslow via Handforth.
Crewe via Manchester Airport - no rail replacement bus services will be provided.
Chester via Altrincham - Train services will run between Altrincham and Chester. Rail replacement bus services will operate on Sunday only.
Hope Valley - No rail bus services will be provided.
Stalybridge - no rail bus services will be provided.
