Some lines will be blocked.
All services will be revised.
ALL WEEK
Manchester Piccadilly Crewe via Manchester Airport (in both directions): Trains will run via a reduced timetable, and will call additionally at Chelford and Goostrey.
Manchester Piccadilly Alderley Edge/Crewe via Stockport (in both directions): Trains will not run.
Manchester Piccadilly Stoke (in both directions): Trains will not run.
Cross-industry bus provision.
Customer Advice:
Normal journey times are extended by approximately 60 minutes. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Manchester Piccadilly Chester (in both directions): Trains will run to a reduced timetable between Altrincham and Chester (in both directions).
SUNDAY
Manchester Piccadilly Chester (in both directions): Trains will not run.
Cross-industry bus provision.

Changes to services to/from Stockport - Saturday 2nd August until Friday 22nd August

Network Rail are rebuilding the Greek Street roundabout bridge at Stockport and all railway lines through Stockport station will be closed from Saturday 2nd until Friday 22nd August 2025.

The following routes will be disrupted...

Buxton - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Hazel Grove. Trains continue to operate between Hazel Grove and Buxton.
Stoke-on-Trent - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Alderley Edge via Handforth - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport to Wilmslow via Handforth.
Crewe via Manchester Airport - no rail replacement bus services will be provided.
Chester via Altrincham - Train services will run between Altrincham and Chester. Rail replacement bus services will operate on Sunday only.
Hope Valley - No rail bus services will be provided.
Stalybridge - no rail bus services will be provided.

Metrolink - between Altrincham and Manchester City Centre stops.

Please note the closure of Stockport for this project work will impact services on Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Transport for Wales and TransPennine Express.
