Chester Leeds: Trains will not call at Earlestown.
Leeds Chester: Trains will run as normally advertised.

Buses will be provided between Lockwood and Huddersfield (in both direction).

Some services will be diverted, replaced by buses throughout and revised.
SATURDAY
Leeds Huddersfield via Dewsbury (in both directions): Trains will not run.
Leeds Wigan Wallgate via Dewsbury (in both directions): Trains will be diverted to run via Bradford Interchange, will not call at stations via Dewsbury and Brighouse, and will run to an amended timetable.
Leeds Manchester Victoria and beyond via Bradford Interchange (in both directions): Trains will run to an amended timetable.
Huddersfield Bradford Interchange (in both directions): Trains will not run.
York Leeds (local stopping services) in both directions: Northern services will not run. Services will be provided by TransPennine Express.
Buses will be provided between Huddersfield and Brighouse/Halifax (and vv), and between Huddersfield and Dewsbury/Leeds (in both directions), operated by TransPennine Express.
SUNDAY
Leeds Huddersfield via Dewsbury (in both directions): Trains will not run.
Leeds Huddersfield via Bradford Interchange: Trains will terminate at Halifax.
Huddersfield Leeds via Bradford Interchange: Trains will start from Halifax.
Leeds Manchester Victoria and beyond (in both directions): Trains will run to an amended timetable.
York Leeds (local stopping services) in both directions: Northern services will not run. Services will be provided by TransPennine Express.
Buses will be provided between Huddersfield and Brighouse/Halifax (in both directions), and between Huddersfield and Dewsbury (in both directions), operated by TransPennine Express.

The ticket office is currently unable to sell tickets. Station staff are on-site and able to offer assistance.

Additional Information

Customers are advised to purchase their ticket from the ticket vending machines or from the Northern app prior to boarding the train. Customers wishing to pay using cash are advised to collect a 'Promise To Pay' voucher from the ticket vending machine main menu, and present this to the Conductor on the train who will be happy to issue the required tickets. If this is not available, please approach the Conductor on the train.

Significant Disruptions

Changes to services to/from Stockport - Saturday 2nd August until Friday 22nd August

Network Rail are rebuilding the Greek Street roundabout bridge at Stockport and all railway lines through Stockport station will be closed from Saturday 2nd until Friday 22nd August 2025.

The following routes will be disrupted...

Buxton - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Hazel Grove. Trains continue to operate between Hazel Grove and Buxton.
Stoke-on-Trent - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Alderley Edge via Handforth - Rail replacement bus services will operate between Manchester and Stockport and between Stockport to Wilmslow via Handforth.
Crewe via Manchester Airport - no rail replacement bus services will be provided.
Chester via Altrincham - Train services will run between Altrincham and Chester. Rail replacement bus services will operate on Sunday only.
Hope Valley - No rail bus services will be provided.
Stalybridge - no rail bus services will be provided.
