Between Preston and Blackburn

Planned engineering work will take place between Preston and Blackburn from 00:05, Monday 15 December 2025 to 05:45, Friday 19 December 2025.
All lines will be blocked.
All services will be revised. Northern Trains services only.
Engineering work will be taking place between Preston and Blackburn from 00:05 until 05:45 each night (finish 05:45 Friday)
The 05:21 (Tuesday to Friday) Preston to Colne service will start from Blackburn. A bus will be provided from Preston to Blackburn, departing Preston at 04:31 to connect with the train at Blackburn.
Customer Advice:
Normal journey times are extended by approximately 45 minutes. Please allow extra time for your journey.
