Due to forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms, for safety reasons, trains will be running more slowly than normal through the area. Therefore, services on our Cardiff Central - Manchester Piccadilly/Holyhead route are subject to disruption and may be delayed up to 60 minutes. Please continue to travel as planned, but expect delays.

Please note: Following the signal problems in the Moreton-On-Lugg area earlier today, services will likely be further disrupted because of this incident.

We have organised buses to remain on standby at Shrewsbury to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost, provided by Regional Travel.

Avanti West Coast between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe.
Northern between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe.
