Services between Littleborough - Walsden are currently being disrupted due to heavy rain flooding the railway.
Network Rail engineers are now on site assessing the extent of the flooding.

Effect on service:
Chester / Wigan Wallgate / Manchester Victoria - Leeds services are are now able to run between Rochdale - Hebden Bridge, in both directions but may be subject to short notice cancellations/delays whilst the service returns to normal .

Alternative travel suggestions:
Northern tickets will be accepted on Transpennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly - Leeds until further notice.

Services between Manchester Victoria - Blackburn via Bolton are unaffected by this issue.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
