Due to emergency services dealing with an incident at Ashton-Under-Lyne, all lines have now reopened, Train services will still be subject to delays and alterations due to the disuption across the network.
How does this affect my journey?
The following routes will be subject to cancellations,delays,short-notice alterations:-
Manchester Airport-Redcar Central
Liverpool Lime Street-Hull
Manchester Victoria-Scarborough
Liverpool Lime Street-Newcastle

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services in both directions:-
Metrolink tram services between Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly
TransPennine express services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly
East Midlands Railway services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly
TransPennine expresss services between Manchester Piccadilly and York
LNER services between Leeds/York and Newcastle
CrossCountry services between Leeds/York and Newcastle
Customers are advised that other operators are likely to be busy during this disruption.
