Planned engineering work will take place between Leeds/Selby and York, between Blackpool North and York, and between Sheffield and York via Pontefract Baghill from 06:30, Saturday 27 December 2025 to 23:59, Friday 02 January 2026.
All lines will be blocked.
Some services will be diverted, terminating at Leeds, replaced by buses throughout and revised.
SATURDAY 27, SUNDAY 28 AND MONDAY 29 DECEMBER UNTIL 11:30
York Hull/Bridlington: Trains will start from Selby.
Bridlington/Hull York: Trains will terminate at Selby.
Buses will be provided between York and Selby (both ways).
Blackpool North York: Trains will terminate at Leeds.
York Blackpool North: Trains will start from Leeds.
Leeds York via Garforth (both ways): Trains will not run.
Halifax/Leeds Selby/Hull: Trains will terminate at Leeds.
Hull/Selby Leeds/Halifax: Trains will start from Leeds.
Buses will be provided between Leeds and York (both ways), and between Leeds and Selby (both ways).
Express buses between Leeds and York (both ways) will be provided by TransPennine Express. Train services are available
between Selby and Hull (both ways)
SATURDAY 27 DECEMBER TO FRIDAY 2 JANUARY
York Sheffield (both ways): Trains will not run
Buses will be provided between York and Moorthorpe (both ways). Train services are available between
Moorthorpe and Sheffield (both ways).
MONDAY 29 DECEMBER FROM 11:30, AND TUESDAY 30 DECEMBER TO FRIDAY 2 JANUARY
York Hull/Bridlington (both ways): Trains will be diverted via an alternative route between York and Selby
and will not call at Ulleskelf, Church Fenton and Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Buses will be provided between York and Selby (both ways).
Blackpool North York: Trains will terminate at Leeds.
York Blackpool North: Trains will start from Leeds.
Leeds York: Trains will terminate at Micklefield.
York Leeds: Trains will start from Micklefield.
Buses will be provided between Micklefield and York (both ways). Express buses between Leeds and York
(both ways) will be provided by TransPennine Express.
Services between Halifax/Leeds and Selby/Hull (both ways) will run as normally advertised.
