Train services between Glasgow Central and Carlisle via Dumfries are returning to normal but some services may still be delayed or revised.

Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* Glasgow Central/Barrhead/Kilmarnock run as scheduled.
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* Currently, we have not arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes as yet. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* Currently, we have not requested Rail Replacement Transport. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.

It will no longer call at Kilmaurs, Stewarton, Dunlop, Barrhead and Glasgow Central.
It has been delayed at Carlisle and is now 70 minutes late.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today.

Passengers can board local services from Kilmarnock to Glasgow Central, which depart Kilmarnock at 21:06 and 21:34.

18:54 Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh due 20:58 has been previously delayed but is now on time from Bathgate.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

20:05 Ayr to Glasgow Central due 20:58 is being delayed at Irvine and is now expected to be 12 minutes late.
This is due to trespassers on the railway.

The escalators will be out of order between the booking office and the ticket barriers from now until further notice at Glasgow Central station.
