Following a fault with the signalling system between Motherwell and Cambuslang the line has now reopened.
Impact:
Train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 22:00 07/07.
Customer Advice:
Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* Please check alternative walking routes for services via Newton and Motherwell.
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* Your train ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following local bus routes between:
Lanark and Motherwell with JMB
Larkhall and Motherwell Hamilton with Whitelaws.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* Currently, we have not requested Rail Replacement Transport. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.
Additional Information:
* We had a signalling issue between Motherwell and Airbles earlier.
* Our staff have repaired the fault and we are now able to run services again.
* Disruption to services may still be ongoing until our staff and trains are back in position.

20:01 Larkhall to Milngavie due 21:04 has been cancelled.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

16:05 Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street due 21:43 has been previously delayed and is now 11 minutes late from Crianlarich.
This is due to a speed restriction because of heavy rain.

18:24 Glasgow Queen Street to Oban due 21:27 has been delayed at Dalmuir and is now 11 minutes late.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

18:33 Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street due 21:15 has been previously delayed, is being further delayed between Invergowrie and Perth and is now expected to be 30 minutes late.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

18:54 Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh due 20:58 will no longer call at High Street, Shettleston, Coatbridge Sunnyside and Coatdyke.
It has been previously delayed but is now 12 minutes late between Glasgow Queen Street Ll and Airdrie.
This is due to the emergency services dealing with an incident earlier today.

19:17 Cumbernauld to Dalmuir due 20:50 was started from Motherwell.
It will no longer call at Cumbernauld, Greenfaulds, Coatbridge Central, Whifflet, Airbles, Hamilton Central, Hamilton West, Blantyre, Newton Lanark and Cambuslang.
It has been delayed at Motherwell and is now 10 minutes late.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

19:28 Dalmuir to Cumbernauld due 21:03 will be started from Motherwell.
It will no longer call at Dalmuir, Clydebank, Yoker, Garscadden, Scotstounhill, Jordanhill, Hyndland, Partick, Exhibition Centre, Anderston, Glasgow Central Low Level, Argyle Street, Bridgeton, Dalmarnock, Rutherglen, Cambuslang, Newton Lanark, Blantyre, Hamilton West, Hamilton Central and Airbles.
This is due to failure of the electricity supply earlier today.

19:43 Dundee to Edinburgh due 21:14 has been delayed at Dundee and is now 7 minutes late.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

19:47 Dalmuir to Larkhall due 20:56 is being delayed at Cambuslang and is now expected to be 10 minutes late.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

19:55 Edinburgh to Helensburgh Central due 22:13 has been delayed between Edinburgh Park and Uphall and is now 8 minutes late.
This is due to the emergency services dealing with an incident earlier today.

20:17 Dalmuir to Larkhall due 21:28 will be started from Anderston.
It will no longer call at Dalmuir, Singer, Drumry, Drumchapel, Westerton, Anniesland, Hyndland, Partick and Exhibition Centre.
This is due to failure of the electricity supply earlier today.

20:17 Motherwell to Dalmuir due 21:19 will no longer call at Airbles, Hamilton Central, Hamilton West, Blantyre and Newton Lanark.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

20:20 Crianlarich to Mallaig due 23:37 has been delayed at Crianlarich and is now 11 minutes late.
This is due to a speed restriction because of heavy rain.

20:34 Larkhall to Milngavie due 21:37 will be started from Newton Lanark.
It will no longer call at Larkhall, Merryton, Chatelherault, Hamilton Central, Hamilton West and Blantyre.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

Step free access will be unavailable throughout the station from now until further notice at Whinhill station.
