Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
* Local services between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock/Barrhead.
* We have arranged for your valid ScotRail tickets to be accepted on Avanti trains between Glasgow Central & Carlisle.
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
Option 2 -
* Currently, we have not arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes as yet. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport
* Currently, we have requested Rail Replacement Transport so far details as below -
* Carlisle to Glasgow Central are termintaed at Dumfries passengers are advisded to use station help point for our staff to assist you.
* 13:13 Glasgow Central to Carlisle will terminate at Kilmarnock and we have a ARays Travel bus at 14:35 which will run to Dumfries where there is trains to Carlisle.
* 15:13 Glasgow Central to Carlisle is starting Dumfries, passengers are advised to travel on the 15:28 Glasgow Central to Kilmarnock where we have arranged a replacement bus at 16:30 to run to Dumfries.
* Due to very limited replacement transport being secured, passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.

* We've had reports of a a vehicle striking a bridge between Mauchline & New Cumnock.
* At present the line remains closed due requiring a full inspection.
