Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* Our trains between Helensburgh and Edinburgh will call all stations between Dalmuir and Hyndland in both directions to help keep you on the move during this disruption.
* Currently, we have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local Whitelaws bus routes between Larkhall and Motherwell in both directions, just show your valid train ticket to the bus driver when boarding the bus. At Motherwell you can then uses trains to/from Glasgow Central High Level
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* We have three Photoflash buses confirmed at Motherwell and three Arays buses confirmed at Glasgow Central.
* Two buses will shuttle between Glasgow Central and Motherwell in both directions, calling stops via Hamilton Central.
* One bus will shuttle between Glasgow Central and Motherwell in both directions, calling stops via Whifflet.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our services return to normal.
Additional Information:
* We have a signalling fault between Rutherglen and Anderston affecting all trains via Glasgow Central low level. Staff on site have identified a cable which has been cut in a site close to the railway.
* Passengers can use trains between Glasgow Central high level and Newton via Kings Park and between Glasgow Central high level and Lanark via Bellshill.
* At present we are only able to run trains to/from Larkhall via Glasgow Central low level and they are subject to delays and will terminate/start back from Hyndland.
* We will also run trains between Rutherglen and Motherwell as detailed below - (check individual train running information).
* Between Rutherglen and Motherwell via Baillieston in both directions.
* Between Rutherglen and Motherwell via Hamilton in both directions.
* We have three Photoflash buses confirmed at Motherwell and three Arays buses confirmed at Glasgow Central.
* Two buses will shuttle between Glasgow Central and Motherwell in both directions, calling stops via Hamilton Central.
* One bus will shuttle between Glasgow Central and Motherwell in both directions, calling stops via Whifflet.
Passengers at Coatbridge Central please use Coatbridge Sunnyside or press the station help point.
Services between Helensburgh and Edinburgh via Queen St low level will call additionally at Jordanhill, Scotstounhill, Garscadden, Yoker and Clydebank in both directions.
* Services via Glasgow Central High Level and Queen Street Low Level are not affected at this time and passengers should consider where possible using these alternative routes.
