Following a safety inspection of the track earlier today between Dalmally and Tyndrum Lower all lines have now reopened. Disruption is expected until 20:00 23/03.
Impact:
Train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban are returning to normal but some services will still be delayed or revised.
Customer Advice:
Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* We have limited availability ticket acceptance in place with CityLink buses between Oban and Glasgow in both directions.
* Just show your valid ticket or Smart card to the driver when boarding the bus.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
18:24 Queen St to Oban starts at Crianlarich. 1 bus from Queen St operated by Photoflash all stops to Oban.
1 bus from Queen St operated by Abbey Coaches direct to Crianlarich to connect with the 20:20 to Fort William /Mallaig.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our services return to normal.

* Due to a safety inspection of the track between Dalmally and Tyndrum Lower earlier, the line has now re-opened with a 20mph speed restriction.
* Services are returning to run as scheduled, but remain subject to delay and alteration due to units and crews being out of position.

This is due to trespassers on the railway earlier today.

16:05 Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street due 21:25 has been delayed at Glenfinnan and is now 14 minutes late.
This is due to a safety inspection of the track.

16:34 Glasgow Queen Street to Oban due 19:42 will be delayed at Arrochar & Tarbet and is expected to be 8 minutes late.
This is due to an earlier train fault.

16:51 Montrose to Inverurie due 18:03 has been delayed at Montrose and is now 8 minutes late.
This is due to trespassers on the railway earlier today.

17:26 Motherwell to Dalmuir due 18:33 will no longer call at Whifflet, Kirkwood, Bargeddie, Baillieston, Mount Vernon, Carmyle, Dalmarnock, Bridgeton and Argyle Street.
It has been previously delayed but is now 12 minutes late from Rutherglen.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

18:15 Cumbernauld to Dalmuir due 19:51 will be started from Coatbridge Central.
It will no longer call at Cumbernauld and Greenfaulds.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

18:24 Glasgow Queen Street to Oban due 21:27 will be started from Crianlarich.
It will no longer call at Glasgow Queen Street, Dalmuir, Dumbarton Central, Helensburgh Upper, Garelochhead, Arrochar & Tarbet and Ardlui.
