Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Kilmarnock and New Cumnock all lines are closed. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Impact:
Train services between Glasgow Central and Carlisle via Dumfries will be cancelled or revised.

Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
* Local services between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock/Barrhead.
* We have arranged for your valid ScotRail tickets to be accepted on Avanti trains between Glasgow Central & Carlisle.
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
Option 2 -
* Currently, we have not arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes as yet. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport
* Carlisle to Glasgow Central are termintaed at Dumfries passengers are advised to use station help point for our staff to assist you.
* The folowing replacement buses will run :-
* 19:00 Dumfries to Kilmarnock ARays Travel
* 21:00 Dumfries to Kilmarnock, then set down to Glasgow Central WestWay Coaches
* 23:30 Kilmarnock to Dumfries, then set down to Carlisle BC Travel
* Due to very limited replacement transport being secured, passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.
Additional Information:
* We've had reports of a a vehicle striking a bridge between Mauchline & New Cumnock.
* At present the line remains closed due requiring a full repair to the parapet of the bridge.

20:19 Perth to Edinburgh due 21:46 has been delayed between Ladybank and Markinch and is now 12 minutes late.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

20:40 Edinburgh to Perth due 22:04 is being delayed between Edinburgh Gateway and Inverkeithing and is now expected to be 10 minutes late.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

An additional train service has been planned to operate as shown 20:59 Dumfries to Carlisle due 21:37.

21:19 Newton Lanark to Glasgow Central due 21:53 will be started from Kings Park.
It will no longer call at Newton Lanark, Kirkhill, Burnside and Croftfoot.
This is due to a short-notice change to the timetable.

The lifts will be out of order from now until further notice at Bathgate station.

The lift on platform 2 at Bathgate is currently out of order.
