Following a fault with the signalling system between Stow and Galashiels all lines have now reopened. Disruption is expected until 22:00 06/05.
Impact:
Train services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Customer Advice:
Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* Your train ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following local bus routes:
* Borders bus services 67, X67 and X95 between Edinburgh and Tweedbank in both directions.
* Lothian bus services 29, 30 & 44 between Edinburgh and Gorebridge in both directions.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* We are unable to source any replacement transport. Customers should where possible make their own alternative arrangements.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.

Network Rail have advised they were dealing with a points failure between Stow and Galashiels.
Staff on site have now fixed the fault and trains services are now able to operate normally.
Our 2043 Edinburgh to Tweedbank will operate normally.
Our 2219 Tweebank to Edinburgh will operate normally.

19:26 Lanark to Glasgow Central due 20:15 has been previously delayed and is now 10 minutes late from Wishaw.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system.

19:29 Ardgay to Inverness due 21:01 has been delayed at Tain and is now 10 minutes late.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

The lifts will be out of order from now until further notice at Anniesland station.
