Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if a journey by rail is currently possible.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* We had arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes with Stagecoach North buses from Invergordon at 18:14 to Inverness.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* We are unable to provide any other alternative transport today, passengers may wish to consider making their own arrangements.
* We are unable to source replacement buses to operate to or from Thurso because of road conditions and supplier availability, therefore we would advise customers to postpone travel where possible as we are not able to guarantee you are able to complete your journey.
* Customers with tickets dated today, Friday 2nd January, will be able to use them on services on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th January at no extra cost.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our services return to normal.

Our 12:34 Wick to Inverness has be cancelled - we have a mini bus at Wick and a bus at Thurso to run to Inverness as long as road conditions permit.
Our 06:18 Wick to Inverness will be started from Lairg - replacement transport has been requested but not confirmed.
Our 07:00 Inverness to Wick will be terminated at Lairg - we have a mini bus and bus confirmed to run from Lairg to Wick as long as road conditions permit.
* All services between Inverness and Wick will not call at Thurso in both directions - we have requested a replacement bus to run between Thurso/Wick/Georgemas but this has not been confirmed at this time.
* All alternative transport will run subject to road conditions as snow/icy conditions are forecasted.
