Due to a fault with the signalling system between Kirkcaldy and Cameron Bridge disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Impact:
Train services between Edinburgh and Leven will be suspended. Leven will not be served.
Customer Advice:
Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* We have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes at no extra cost with Stagecoach East between Kirkcaldy and Leven in both directions.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* Currently, we have not requested Rail Replacement Transport. We will monitor this situation as the incident develops.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our services return to normal

Rail Replacement Plan
Between 06.00 and 23.00 when the road is open, existing plans will remain in place with the expectation of increased journey times.
Where road closure commences at 23.00 and opens at 06.00 the last rail replacement service from Busby will be 22.33 towards East Kilbride and 22.50 towards Glasgow.
During the full road closure weekend, a minibus will leave from Main Street to Clarkston to connect with rail replacement services. A timetable will be in pace.
A community minibus will be positioned in Whitecart Grill to provide a local connection for residents. This will run 08.00 20.00 Saturday 22 March Monday 24 March. Customers wishing to utilise at the opposite side to the grill will call in through the co-ordinator on site acknowledging that it will take approx. 15 mins for the bus to make its way around assuming light traffic. We do not anticipate high vols. on this service.
