Due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today at Glasgow Queen Street:
Impact:
Train services running to and from this station are returning to normal but some services may still be delayed. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

* We had a signalling fault effecting all train to/from Queen Street.
* Staff have attended and cleared the fault

Due to failure of the electricity supply at Elgin:
Impact:
Train services running through this station will be cancelled, delayed or reduced to an hourly service. Disruption is expected until the end of the day on 18/06/26.
Customer Advice:
Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if a journey by rail is currently possible.
Trains will only be able to run between Aberdeen and Huntly and between Inverness and Forres.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* Currently, we have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local Stagecoach bus route between Inverness and Aberdeen in both directions just show your valid train ticket to the bus driver when boarding the bus.
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* Currently, we have not been able to secure Rail Replacement Transport and passengers should consider postponing their journey or make their own alternative arrangements.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.
Additional Information:
* We have reports of a signalling fault in the Elgin area which our staff onsite continue to investigate.
* A temporary fix will be carried out to allow us to run the below trains -

This is due to failure of the electricity supply.

22:26 Edinburgh to Glasgow Central due 23:59 has been previously delayed and is now 11 minutes late from Cleland.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

23:10 Glasgow Queen Street to Dundee due 00:44 is being delayed between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling and is now expected to be 8 minutes late.
This is due to a late running train being in front of this one.

18/06/26 04:54 Inverness to Edinburgh due 09:38 will be started from Aberdeen.
It will no longer call at Inverness, Inverness Airport, Nairn, Forres, Elgin, Keith, Huntly, Insch, Inverurie, Kintore and Dyce.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today.

18/06/26 05:45 Dundee to Inverness due 09:36 will be terminated at Aberdeen.
It will no longer call at Dyce, Kintore, Inverurie, Insch, Huntly, Keith, Elgin, Forres, Nairn, Inverness Airport and Inverness.
This is due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today.

The lifts will be out of order between platform 2 and platform 1 from now until further notice at Bathgate station.
